Månegarm har i dagarna tilldelats Norrtälje kommuns musikpris.
Kommunstyrelsens motivering till priset är att Månegarm; “förtjänar kommunens uppskattning och kulturpris för sin kulturgärning under snart tre decenniers turnerande, skapande och spelande.”
Bandet har reagerat på händelsen och gått ut med ett tack i sina officiella sociala medier samt kommenterat att de känner sig hedrade över priset.

Yesterday we were awarded Norrtälje municipality’s Cultural Award 2023!
This is what they say: “Månegarm deserves the municipality’s appreciation and this year’s cultural award for its cultural contribution during almost three decades of touring, creating and playing”.
“The band has really put Norrtälje on the map, and not least through their own festival Månegarm Open Air which they have organized since 2019”, is also stated in the justification.
