”Black sabbath”, ”Paranoid”, ”Iron man”, ”Children of the grave” och många, många fler.

Although you guys, Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Tommy Clufetos have been on Sweden Rock Festival earlier you’ve never been on the same stage together. So what expectation do you guys have of Sweden Rock Festival 2014 and your fans this time when you all are gathered together on the same stage?
– Well, hopefully there will be no restriction on decibel level, which caused problems last time Tony and myself played at Sweden Rock with Heaven And Hell. Sweden Rock is particularly enjoyable because it has a more varied line up than most other Rock Festivals, so we have the chance to play to people we might not otherwise have the chance to reach.

When you visited Sweden in November last year you didn’t just only play old-school Black Sabbath classics, but also three songs from the new album. What can the audience expect from the set list this time at Sweden Rock Festival 2014?
– The set list may not be much different, we might play a different song from “13”, but that’s about it. We feel the set list is very well balanced, so not much reason to change it.

You guys have been in Sweden many times the last decades, although in different bands. So what are your favorite or most memorable memories from a visit in Sweden?
– Well, Sweden was the first place outside of the UK we played back in 1969 I believe. When we play Scandinavia, we base ourselves in Stockholm, so it’s like a home from home. We all have our favorite places to visit. Tony’s wife is from Stockholm, so he visits regularly.

Your latest album “13” was a real success and a very good comeback for Black Sabbath. Can we expect at least one more album after this tour?
– If we have the urge or inclination to do another album, then I’m sure we would do it, but we wouldn’t do one just to cash in on the success of “13”.

Do you guys think you will do something more with Bill Ward in the future? Do you guys have any contact with him?
– We have email contact with him. We had every intention of having him with us on “13”, but it didn’t work out. He recently had hospital treatment, so he wouldn’t have been able to complete this tour anyway. It would be fantastic if we did something together before we call it a day, even if it was just one song or one show.

And at last, what is the best thing of being back for a gig in Sweden?
– I like visiting the old town, the tourist part, going to a vegetarian restaurant there, and do a bit of shopping, and of course playing to our fantastic fans there.

Black Sabbath spelar fredag 6 juni klockan 22.00 – 23.30 på Festival Stage.
