Hi and welcome to Sweden Rock Festival. This will be the first time ORDEN OGAN play at the festival.
What expectations do you have ahead of the show?

DIRK: We are very excited to play at the Sweden Rock Festival this year. We hope the weather will be good and we hope that everyone is in a good mood. Of course, you always hope that everything goes well technically, etc.

SEEB: I heard it is one of the best festivals in Europe, but we have actually never been there, so we are very much looking forward to it. Also, I think there are a lot of Swedish ORDEN OGAN fans, but we haven’t played in Sweden a lot, so I think there will be quite a lot of people showing up for the show.

How do you think about the setlist when you play at a festival?

DIRK: Of course, we always try to have a good mix of our creative phases on the setlist. Of course, it also depends on how long the playing time is. Over the years we also know which songs work best live for us as a band and which ones are best for our Fans.

SEEB: Some bands just pick the most streamed songs on Spotify, haha. It makes sense in a way. We always play what we think makes the best mix.

Which one of your songs do you enjoy the most to perform? And why?

SEEB: “Gunman” and “The Things we believe in” are absolute fan favourites, so I love playing those the most. I have to say though that “The Order of Fear” is an instant live-hit, I think it is already one of my favourites and will be a live favourite for sure.
DIRK: This is with every musician in ORDEN OGAN different, I think. For example, I personally play “Forlorn and “Forsaken” or “Gunman” because these songs tend to belong to the harder Songs by ORDEN OGAN. I really like it when it really bangs live. But also “Inferno” is really fun live. You can really let yourself go with your instrument, as this song is rather simple in terms of playing technique. But I think that every musician would have a different list.

What can the fans expect from an Orden Ogan show in 2024?

DIRK: Definitely a good-mooded band that will give everything on stage. I think our setlist is set up like this that we can present all facets of Orden Ogan.
SEEB: We’re bringing a new stage to the festivals in 2024. I hope everything will be ready at Sweden Rock already…

Are there any of the other bands this year you really want to see?

DIRK: Oh yeah! For me Megadeth, W.A.S.P, Alice Cooper, Humanity’s Last Breath and Slaughter to Prevail is on the note.
SEEB: I always forget to check the billing of the day and then I am surprised that I missed to see the good bands, haha…

You will release a new album “The Order of Fear” on July 5th. What can you tell us about it?

: It’s a classic ORDEN OGAN record on the one hand and different from the other records on the other hand. We wanted to make a more “classic” heavy metal record with the guitars more upfront, a bit harder, less orchestrations and keyboards, more focussed on the song and the choruses. I think it turned out great.
DIRK: I agree. In my opinion it will be the best Orden Ogan album so far. I think it’s a perfect mix of songs that stand more in the tradition of “To the End” or “Ravenhead” and our later albums. Everything that Orden Ogan is about is on “The Order of Fear” represent. We’re really looking forward to presenting the album to people.

If we put the economic aspects aside. Which artist or band would you like to collaborate with?

SEEB: I think Jonathan Davie is phenomenal. I also love Ghost and Little Big.

After you have left the stage at Sweden Rock what do you hope the audience will bring with them from your performance?

SEEB: …a lot of ORDEN OGAN shirts, haha…
DIRK: Of course we hope that the audience had fun and could see and hear how much fun we had playing for them on Stage.

Thank you for taking the time to answer the questions. See you at the festival in June.

Both: Thank you and see you in June!!
